Play steam offline without updating
It'll let you know that it can't connect, and will give you the option to skip sign-in.
Do that, and you should still be able to launch installed games, so long as they don't require a connection to play.
The game can be purchased as a boxed copy or a digital download, but both versions require Steam and an Internet connection.
Two basic features were absent at the launch of the Epic Games Store: cloud saving, which is supposed to come soon, and the ability to play games offline.
Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera is a digital distribution platform – an online store with a curated selection of games, an optional gaming client giving you freedom of choice, and a vivid community of gamers.
3) Launch the game you would like to play offline to verify that there are no further updates to download – shut down the game and return to Steam once you have confirmed that the game can be played.
[NOTE: Mine never showed “100% Ready”, and I had to download an 8012.4 MB file (which I believe is the entire DVD contents) to complete the update process referenced in Step 3.] 4) Go to Steam Settings to ensure the Don’t save account credentials on this computer option is not selected.
The longest I've seen Steam offline without an Internet connection is 5 days.
